Our Winter Woodland Walk returns better than ever for 2025! Set in the centre’s very own woodland area, we’ve created a spectacular light display for you and your loved ones to enjoy and make some special memories together.

The Winter Woodland Walk is an outdoor event, taking you on a breathtaking walk of light displays through the woodland area. With the bonus of our Woodland Snack Shack you can warm up with a hot chocolate and a hot snack to really get you in the festive mood. As this event is held outside, please dress appropriately for the weather with sensible shoes.

The walk is suitable for all ages, however it is a gravel pathway which although level, maybe a bit bumpy for pushchair and not suitable for wheelchair users.

Your Priority Ticket is valid for entry at a pre-booked time slot. During this time slot you are able to go around the walk as many times as you like, making sure you get to see everything the walk has to offer! 

Tickets may be available to purchase on the day from the main garden centre tills, however these are subject to limited availability and during busier periods there may be a substantial wait time due to popularity as Priority is given to those with an online booking. Book your Priority Entry Tickets today to guarantee entry for a specified time slot. We cannot guarantee that walk-in tickets will be available at all times, it is advisable to pre-book to avoid disappointment.

FAQ's

What Should I Expect – The Winter Woodland is an outdoor event which features a mix of  light displays. It is created in a brilliantly woodland setting so make sure you have appropriate footwear on and are dressed for the weather!

What is the age limit? –This event is appropriate for all ages. We do not charge for children under the age of 1 year old, everyone else does require a ticket.

How Long Does it take? - You can expect to take around 45 minutes inside the Woodland area. Your ticket is valid for one entry so it’s important that you take your time to enjoy the experience.

Is it Wheelchair friendly? – The woodland area has had a gravel path installed however due to the nature of the area it is bumpy and uneven in places. In previous years customers on mobility scooters have attended the event without issue.

Can I bring my dog? - No, we are sorry Dogs are not permitted into the trail for safety reasons.

I've booked and I haven't received my tickets? - Tickets are automatically emailed to the email address provided during the booking process. If you haven't received them, check your spam / promotion folders. If you still can't find them, we do keep a list of bookings at the event entrance, and you can provide your name and postcode on the door, and we can track your booking down to confirm your entry.

Something's come up and I can't attend, can I rearrange or cancel my booking? - Unfortunately, not as per the terms and conditions are shown on each event page tickets cannot be amended or cancelled once booked. Please check all the Ts and Cs prior to booking. Our booking system is fully automated and run by a third-party company, we have no access in store to be able to make any changes or cancel any bookings.

What’s the difference between this event and the Christmas Walk? – This event is held in our outdoor woodland area and is only open on selected evenings throughout November and December.

The Christmas Walk is an indoor event which features lots of light and animatronic displays and the real reindeer. The Christmas walk is open daily from 15th November until 24th December.

Can I just turn up without booking? – We always recommend booking in advance as time slots do sell out and we have a limited capacity within the walk for both fire safety regulations and customer enjoyment.

I’m trying to book online for today and I can’t….help? – Our automated system closes at midnight the day before each event slot therefore you cannot book online for the same day. Please be aware that although slots maybe shown online for today, these are not accurate. You may be able to purchase tickets at the main tills but these are sold on a first come first serve basis and you are not guaranteed to be able to purchase any.

Terms and Conditions

• Tickets cannot be amended, cancelled or refunded once booked. 
• Tickets are only valid for entry at the time stated on the ticket. Please arrive for your pre-booked slot on time. Late arrivals may result in your tickets being invalidated and entry being refused.
• Tickets may only be used once.
• Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times whilst in the experience.
• Dogs are not permitted into this event.
• Guests are asked to remain inside the guided path at all times. Please do not attempt to climb inside or onto any part of the displays.
• This ticket DOES NOT INCLUDE entry to any other event being held.
• We reserve the right to refuse entry and/or remove any visitors from the Woodland Walk at the discretion of the duty management.
